Moran Transportation Corporation provides regional, less than truckload (LTL) services throughout the states of Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Missouri markets. We Are Looking for a Diesel Technition - Straight Pay Only $32 - $38 Per Hour

Position Overview:

Moran Transportation Corporation is seeking a skilled and results-driven Diesel Mechanic to join our team at our Elk Grove Village, Illinois facility. This is a first-shift, full-time position offering a dynamic work environment in a fast-paced transportation and logistics setting.

Key Responsibilities:

? Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on company trucks and equipment.

? Inspect trucks, trailers and other equipment on a periodic basis.

? Conduct preventative maintenance services, including greasing, oil changes, and lubrication of components.

? Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.

? Ensure compliance with company safety policies and industry regulations.

? Maintain accurate service records, including parts usage and work performed.

? Utilize company-provided service vehicles as needed.

? Perform road-side service calls.

? Maintain a clean and organized work area.

? Test drive vehicles to ensure repairs are effective.

? Document repairs and maintenance performed.

? Assist with additional maintenance tasks as assigned by management.

Full-Time Forklift Operator/Dock Worker - $20 Per Hour

  • Shifts Available:

    • 2nd Shift

    • 4pm Start

    • 40 Hours Per Week

  • Safely operate a forklift and material-handling equipment to load and unload trailers and straight trucks, following OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910.178) and company safety protocols.

  • Assist dockworkers with loading/unloading freight efficiently and safely.

  • Accurately complete required paperwork in a timely manner to ensure smooth freight flow.

  • Inspect equipment before and after each shift, promptly reporting any defects or safety concerns.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.

  • Manage dock layout and report equipment repair needs to supervisors.

  • Collaborate daily with coworkers and supervisors to meet operational goals.

  • Complete company-provided training before independently operating any equipment.

  • Comply with all company policies, including those related to workplace safety, harassment prevention, and anti-discrimination in accordance with applicable laws.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
