POSITION SUMMARY
The Supervisor, Payroll and HR Administration is responsible for administering and delivering the company's frontline HR administrative services including, but not limited to, its payroll and benefits programs to over 1,200 employees based in North America. This position supervises and provides guidance to a team of five administrators to coordinate activities and ensure processes are on time and meet compliance requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee and support a team of payroll and HR administrators, some of whom will be remotely located
  • Own and supervise Graymont's payroll and benefit administration processes for North America
  • Maintain employee master files
  • Coordinate audit support activities for payroll, benefit, pension and workers compensation compliance
  • Work effectively with all functions to support employment and compliance activities
  • Maintain day-to-day relationship with ADP
  • Interpret and influence collective bargaining agreements
  • Maintain relevant intranet content
  • Monitor compliance of internal segregation and controls policies
  • Support the broader HR Team on a multitude of initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Two years of supervisory experience
  • Certified Payroll and/or Benefits Designation or equivalent
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Knowledge of Canadian and U.S. payroll and benefit compliance
  • Experience with a complex business environment and organizational structure
  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to anticipate issues
  • Strong communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and people management skills
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now
  • Experience with JD Edwards or similar Enterprise Resource Planning platform an asset
  • Manufacturing experience is an asset
  • Ability to communicate in French is an asset
