The Finance Manager, US Commercial Finance, Alternative Channels (Foodservice & Drug) is a proactive business partner responsible for supporting and influencing the Sales Customer Business Teams (CBT) to drive customer growth and profitability across both U.S Biscuit and Confections as well as supporting overall Channels trade spend management. Key areas of responsibility include customer performance analysis, monitoring and control of trade spending within policy and procedures, driving focus in area of trade ROI and effectiveness, and portfolio mix for the Drug and Foodservice channels.

Job Responsibilities:

Customer Performance & Analysis:
  • Provide financial and analytical support on Drug and Food Service sales activities/initiatives
  • Lead business building analysis including customer profitability and partnership in trade efficiency and effectiveness to drive better business decisions.
  • Analyze and report monthly business performance including revenue, trade, overhead and profitability KPI's
  • Ensure monthly revenue calls are provided by CBT in an accurate and timely manner
  • Lead reviews of Food Service contract profitability.

Controls & Process Improvement:
  • Provide counsel to CBT on trade spending policies and procedures. Proactively ensure on-going trade policy compliance through monthly trade scrubs and spending reporting.
  • Support the CBT to manage budgeted spending levels
  • Reconcile Trade spend between Trade Planning tools to ensure compliance
  • Support CBT on trade deduction management and recovery of invalid deductions and post audit resolution
  • Ensure implementation and continuous improvement of efficient processes to facilitate financial planning analysis
  • Financial support of external and internal audits
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Finance, MBA preferred
  • 6 or more years of experience in Finance with prior experience in forecasting and financial analysis
  • Extremely systems savvy with exceptional Excel skills
  • Analytical mindset with a desire to find the hidden opportunities for cost savings
  • Demonstrated ability to manage processes and to influence to process and adapt as need and bring others along in process.
  • Ability to effectively work under pressure, managing multiple and changing priorities
  • High level of motivation and energy with desire to "roll up sleeves" moving from the high level to detail as necessary
  • Strong business acumen, experience with business analysis and financial reporting
  • Ability to communicate analysis in a clear, succinct and persuasive manner to all levels of the organization.
  • Strong technical skills / agility with a variety of systems
  • Demonstrated strong achievement and results orientation
