Working with our excellent team of strategy professionals, you'll diagnose key business growth drivers, set strategic direction for the future, prioritize our growth initiatives, and partner with our business teams to implement our growth plans.

Job Purpose

As Manager Data Intelligence & Science you will help Mondelēz be data intelligent and enable better decision making through the usage of advanced analytics. You will apply data science solutions to optimally answer business questions by unlocking insights from vast data sources (internal and external) available, designing and implementing analytical frameworks, and developing predictive and prescriptive outputs in context of driving growth (early identification of trends, opportunities, threats) and performance on KPI's such as media and trade ROI.

This is an exciting new role within Growth Analytics and tasked to deliver maximum value from data using data engineering, machine learning algorithms, data visualization best practices and advanced data analytics.

The ideal candidate will have the right amalgamation of data engineering, data analytics and business acumen, with an agile mindset and the ability to partner effectively across functions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Establish single source of truth by leveraging both structured and unstructured, internal and external data available with Mondelēz
  • Deliver high performance data science, including data sources identification, processing, model/algorithm development, and turning insights into actionable recommendation.
    • Build data taxonomy, drive data quality and establish ECTL (Extraction, Clean, Transformation and Loading) / ELT (Extraction, Loading, Transformation) processes - run/ create Alteryx workflows
    • Mine and analyse data, develop data models, frameworks and algorithms that leverages internal and external structured and unstructured data sources - and develop linkages to other data lakes within Mdlz
    • Solve strategic business problems by applying leading edge theories and techniques, detect patterns and recommend solutions
    • Build predictive and discovery models leveraging AI / Machine learning / Cognitive computing
  • Deliver robust, intelligent systems at scale. Execute pilots in key markets and work with Mondelēz MBS team and external technology partners to build right applications to drive quicker decision making, with more accurate and future looking output.
  • Participate in data science capability building within the Growth team and within Mondelēz


  • Strong academic background in mathematics, econometrics, analytics, computer science, operations research or applied maths (Minimum Bachelor's Degree- Postgrad highly advantageous)
  • Experience in machine learning techniques, Alteryx, distributed data computing tools - Hadoop or Hive, experience in scientific computing: Python/R, strong knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau and advanced analytical models
  • Fluency extracting, cleaning, combining complex, high volume, high-dimensionality data including unstructured data from varying sources and across the organization.

  • 5 years of experience in areas such as data engineering, analytical modelling and techniques, machine learning and data visualization,
  • Preferred experience working for large CPG marketer, ideally with organizations who are considered best-in-class in analytics;


  • English is a must
