This position is responsible for promoting a continuous improvement environment that encourages accountability through the responsibility of involvement; while overseeing the day to day operations of successfully completing customer orders. Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or company management. To provide direction, leadership and expertise for the implementation and integration of belts manufacturing processes in the facility. This includes the supervision of all personnel in the specified area to maintain an efficient and highly motivated team with the proper skills and demonstrated capabilities for completing all customer orders correctly and in a timely manner.
Summary of Responsibility:
- Assist with reaching production goals, supervisor all employees on the assigned shift, including overseeing all training
- Maintain daily production reporting
- Resolve employee issues, communicate needs or issues to management
- Ensure all customer and plant orders are completed and packaged correctly
- Maintain shop & safety needs for the shift
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
- Physical demands include standing, walking, squatting, bending, and sitting. May need to lift up to 50lbs occasionally during the shift; frequent impact noise & seasonal heat
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year experience in leadership role; working knowledge of all machinery & equipment in the specified area a plus
- Must be able to be fork truck certified
