The Automation Sales Manager, supporting the Automation Sales Director, is responsible for identification and development of North American motion control markets, prospective customers, business awards, relationship management, and commercial issue resolution of harmonic and recently acquired cycloidal products. This is a key position to grow Cone Drive's next generation products, including Cone harmonic and Spinea cycloidal drives, into new and evolving markets.
- Achieves annual revenue and P&L growth for assigned area of the business
- Responsible for supporting the preparation and execution of the overall strategic plan for business development and account management of Cone harmonic and Spinea cycloidal products
- Identifies markets, prospective customers, develops contacts, develops & delivers sales presentations that effectively capture Cone Drive's/Spinea's value proposition as it relates to customer needs
- Coordinates logistically with the marketing department to set up and attend industry-specific tradeshows, presentations, and meetings; supports the development of harmonic sales collateral
- Works with the operations team to facilitate client communication and issue resolution, if required
- Maintains local memberships in industry-specific organizations as applicable
- Manages prospective customer opportunity pipeline to keep all client information up-to-date and all activities current
- Supports operations in selling efforts by providing needed internal support, including but not limited to documentation, communication, setting customer expectations, and potential jobsite assistance
- Maintains and executes corporate reporting needs
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years related sales/new business development experience
- Applications engineering experience
- Motion control industry background
