Job Description:

The primary responsibility of Supply Chain Support associates is to provide the resources required to carry-out the daily operations of the supply chain function in the assigned areas. These tasks are not limited to, but in general outlined as follows:

Receiving, Raw Material Purchasing, Service Purchasing

1) Daily receiving for all items including quality requirement verification for steel heats.

2) Purchasing support for material used in manufactured components including purchase order generation, vendor communication, and delivery information to operations.

3) Purchasing support for services used to process manufactured components including, PIR management, purchase order generation, vendor communication, and delivery information to operations.

4) Wind energy manufactured component order material management.

5) Inventory management for materials used by manufactured components.


Minimum Requirements:

  1. Strong typing skills.
  2. Strong computer skills (using MS Office - Outlook & Excel).
  3. Experience using SAP.
  4. Strong organizational skills.
  5. Strong communication skills and professional writing skills.
  6. Ability to maintaining accurate record keeping.
  7. Basic math skills.
  8. Able to complete Timken PIV (forklift) certification.

Preferred Requirements:

  1. Experience with bearing manufacturing - experience differentiating components used in bearing production and assembly.
  2. Previous experience in logistics and/or supply chain, a plus.
  3. Crib Management:
  • Experience using SRM and NetWeaver applications.
  • Experience with inventory management systems.
  • Experience interacting with vendors - invoice accuracy and positive relationships.
