Essential Responsibilities:
- Provides the necessary electrical engineering required for developing and documenting control systems used in manufacturing and R&D, which may include PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and motor (AC, Servo) controls. Experience with VS drives and servos is a must.
- Develop PLC and HMI programs, and troubleshoot and modify existing programs.
- Effectively manage projects which includes establishing detailed and defined scopes, detailed cost estimates, timelines with milestones, and deliverables, and provide guidance and expertise to keep projects on track and within budget—identifying and coordinating the development of new test equipment and the upgrading of existing test equipment.
- Keep informed on new technology and equipment which may have potential use for new projects and improvement of existing facilities (both process and environmental).
- Manage contractors used in the building of control systems.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in PLC Programming and Motion Control in place of a degree
Technical Skills:
- Must be able to work well with others in a team environment
- Organizational skills to work on and prioritize multiple projects
- Must have an electrical engineering background and knowledge of PLC programming
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Problem-solving skills
