Smith Services, a division of Timken Motor & Crane Services, is part of the largest electric motor, controls and generator repair group in the Northeast, providing electric motor repairs, electric motor rewinds, custom controls and panels, systems integration, pump services, machine rebuilds, hydro services, safety-related services, energy efficiency solutions, and diagnostic services for commercial and industrial applications.
Smith Services is currently seeking a Disassembler to support operations at the Princeton, WV site. This is a Dayshift position.
Purpose and Scope
Disassemble and inspect incoming AC & DC motors according to standard procedures and accurately complete all relevant forms and reports. Clean and sandblast parts as required in order to support disassembly/inspection process as well as assembly functions. Disassembler is involved in all stages of the disassembly process and must have the ability to work as part of a team and take direction in order to meet production, quality, and delivery requirements.
Position Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Must have or obtain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification.
Must have prior experience operating overhead and/or jib cranes.
Must be able to meet all standards for job safety, including wearing of required personal protective equipment.
Must be able to stand for more than 3 hours per day.
Must be able to safely lift up to 25lb, unaided.
Must be able to safely use ladders, unaided.

Position Duties
Work safely in the course of all assigned work and with all equipment and tools
Disassemble and inspect motors
Clean rotors, armatures, and various other motor parts
Perform or assist with failure analysis on motors
Use power-industrial equipment to move parts through different points in the motor repair process
