Essential Job Functions include the following, but are not limited to:
Responsible for all production and test equipment
Development of new processes as required
Design, implement, and procure new production equipment as needed
Interpret product requirements for production processes
Provide feedback to engineering for new product development
Assist production staff with process documentation
Responsible for product qualification equipment and testing procedures
Resident expert for hermetic sealing processes
Training of assemblers where required on new processes
Responsible for maintaining all production equipment in calibration
Interact with vendors to specify and install new equipment
Assist production staff as required from time to time
The Company retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position
Qualifications
Experience:
5 years' experience in similar opto-electronics manufacturing engineering role working with precision assembly equipment
Education:
AS or BS in engineering or equivalent
Desired Skills:
Expertise with micro-assembly equipment:
e.g. pick & place, wire-bonders, precision alignment, hermetic sealing
Must be able to work to do extended work under stereo-microscopes
Expertise with optical and electronic test equipment
Familiar with LEAN production process floor setup and flow
Experience with fiber-optics
