Job Summary: The Dispatch Associate plays a critical role in coordinating the scheduling, communication, and dispatching of crews, trucks, and materials to job sites. This role ensures field operations run smoothly, efficiently, and on schedule while maintaining strong communication with internal teams and external partners. A typical day in this position includes dispatching end dumps, helping drivers get on the Fleetwatcher app, and communicating with end dump drivers. This position will also back up and assist the Logistics Coordinator.
Other Requirements: All candidates are required to pass a thorough Background Check, Physical and Drug Test. References may also be checked. We participate in E-Verify.
Job Duties & Requirements:

- Back-up to Logistics Coordinator.
- Sign trucks in and out daily.
- Monitor incoming loads of material.
- Ensure trucks being scaled out are properly loaded.
- Help drivers get on Fleetwatcher.
- Communicate daily material production needs to plant personnel.
- Work with Trucking Dispatcher to reroute trucks during daily operations as needed.
- Remotely Scale Trucks.
- Map truck routes as needed.
- Quickly and proactively resolve problems that may arise.
- Regular communication throughout the day via texting on cell phone.
- Answer the phones.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant vocational training highly preferred.
- 3 years of experience in dispatch, logistics, or scheduling - preferably in the construction or paving industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
- Strong communication skills and positive attitude.
- Skills in time management, organization, and conflict resolution.
- Flexibility in work schedule to meet department needs:
- Must be able to work after hours and Saturdays as needed. (Regular work hours generally range Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
- Ownership in projects/problems.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Motivated and reliable.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
- Basic math skills.
- Knowledge of the seven-country metro area (truck routes).
