We are seeking a motivated Quality Control Inspector with hands-on experience in manufacturing environments who is eager to grow their technical skills. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, accountable, and passionate about delivering quality products. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with Engineering and Operations teams, develop problem-solving skills, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform and accurately document quality control inspections on manufactured products to ensure compliance with specifications and release requirements.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to identify and resolve quality issues efficiently.
- Maintain up-to-date calibration records for inspection tools and measuring devices.
- Document and report deviations or discrepancies; initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) as needed
- Coordinate and assist with the collection and preparation of all quality requirements and documentation for deliveries to customers, ensuring all paperwork is complete and accurate prior to shipment.
- Support the development and maintenance of the company's Quality Management System and ISO 9001 compliance.
- Keep inspection equipment and work areas organized, clean, and well-maintained.
- Be adaptable to take on additional duties beyond Quality Control as needed, including occasional overtime.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience or training in a manufacturing or quality control role.
- Basic mechanical, machining or drafting experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with ACME and/or API threads is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and accountability.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
